A rectal GIST

This young male was came to a colonoscopy with an history of chronic rectal bleeding since more than 1 year associated by tenesmus and watery stool and distension. Rectal examination showed a hard mass about 7 cm from the anus with blood on the gloves.
These images show the colonoscopic finding: a rectal mass about 6 cm from the anus. It was filling the lumen of the rectum and we couldn’t pass through it, and it was easily bleeding for any touch and multiple biopsies were taken.
Histology showed that this was a rectal GIST, a gastrointestinal stromal tumour.
