Ulcers in Hiatal Hernia are usually located in the distal part very near the diaphragma region. These ulcers have the same etiologic factors as gastric ulcers, however, our impression is that the use of NSAIDīs is the most important factor. These ulcers may bleed causing anaemia. They should be treated by stopping the use of NSAIDīs if possible, eradication of Helicobacter if present, and long term PPI-medication.
