Chronic Atrophic Gastritis Associated with Pernicious Anaemia

Pernicious Anaemia is associated with a type A atrophic gastritis,also called an autoimmune metaplastic atrophic gastritis (AMAG). Atrophic gastritis is not easily identified during endoscopy. The mucosa especially in the fundus seems thin, and there is no acid fluid in the stomach.
