Tubulovillous adenomas in the colon and rectum are usually 1-2 cm in diameter or larger when found. The surface of a tubulovillous adenoma is often more irregular than that of an adenoma and they can be sessile or pedunculated. These lesions are clinical significant because of the risk of malignant transformation.
