Gastroenteroanastomosis

An anastomose between the stomach and the small bowel is done, if a tumour or other pathologic process, that cannot be resected, cause stenosis in the pyloric region. This gastroenteroanastomosis (or gastroenterostomy) i situated in the angulus region, and was performed because of an benign pyloric disorder. Two openings to the small bowel are seen (efferent and afferent loop) and a small diverticulum near the border between gastric and small bowel mucosa.
