Oesophageal Haematoma

This is a large oesophageal hematoma (H), extending along the whole oesophageus. The patient had swallowed a sharp piece of bone, that had caused a submucosal bleeding in the upper part of the oesophageus causing this haematoma, which resolved without any complications.

Three months later the oesophagus looked quite normal.
