Pyloric Ulcer causing Stenosis

Pyloric ulcer causing stenosis
This is a typical ulcer in the pyloric region, surrounding pylorus, and causing pyloric stenosis. The ulcer - and the stenotic pylorus - is in the upper right part of the picture.

Prepyloric Ulcer causing Stenosis
An ulcer in the pyloric region typically causes stenosis of the pylorus channel. In these pictures, a tight pylorus is situated closely to the ulcer, just beneath the ulcer. This ulcer was benign, main cause probably Helicobacter pylori-infection

Gastric retention due to stenosis of the pylorus
The same patient as above, and this picture shows the gastric retention due to an impaired passage through the pylorus.
