Correct answer:
Gastric Cancer (Adenocarcinoma) of the Intestinal Type

|
Gastric cancer can be divided into two groups according to the Lauren classification. Of all gastric adenocarcinomas, 30 - 40% are of the diffuse type. This type of cancer in the stomach is somewhat more common in younger patients, it is as usual in men as in women, it often forms a malignant ulcer in the stomach and Helicobacter pylori does not have any important etiologic significance. Blood group A is a small riskfactor concerning gastric cancer of the diffuse type.
The intestinal type is somewhat more common than the diffuse type. The patients are usually older, more men get this disease, it forms a typical visible tumour in the stomach and Helicobacter pylori is an important etiologic factor, a person with a Helicobacter nfection has a 6-time high possibility of getting this disease.
