Oesophageal Squamous (Squamocellular) Papilloma

Squamous or squamocellular papilloma in a benign polypoid tumour of the oesophagus, usually found incidentally when endoscopy is done for other reasons. These tumours are not considered to be premalignant, and they can be removed endoscopically.

The patient was examined because of dysphagia. The papilloma was not the reason for the dysphagia, but in the last picture an oesophageal web can be seen distal to the papilloma, and probably causing the swallowing disorder.
