Question:
Click on an image to get a magnification!
I suppose many of us will find the quiz this month very ease - too easy perhaps. However, many of our visitors are in the very beginning of their career - or just thinking about starting to perform endoscopic examinations. So, from time to time, it might be nice to include typical easy images. This man in his early old age came to a coloscopy. His bowel function had changed and he had seen some blood a few times. Two diseases can be seen in these images, one very common and the other one a lot more common than we would like it to be. What are these diseases?
Answer
Sigmoid diverticular disease and a colon cancer (adenocarcinoma)
