This young man came to endoscopy in order to exclude coeliac disease because of his family history. He did not have coeliac disease, and he was in a perfect health and quite symptomfree. This is the finding in his cardia region. What is this tumour? Is it benign or malignant?
Answer
Inflammatory or granulomatous tumour, definitely benign. Histology showed granulomatous tissue and this lesion is probably some kind of scarring after a Mallory-Weiss lesion.
