Barret´s Oesophagus and Reflux Oesophagitis

In the first picture, a Barret´s oesophagus is seen, covering about half of the oesophagus in a patient with chronic reflux disease due to a small hiatal hernia. Above the Barret´s mucosa, quite severe reflux oesophagitis is quite often seen, in the upper half of the oesophagus, seen in the other two pictures.

Another example of reflux oesophagitis associated with Barret´s oesophagus.
