Normal Findings in Endoscopy: Gastric Angulus

When the gastroscope is in the proximal part of the antrum, a slight inversion of the gastroscopes gives an excellent view of the angulus region. To the left in this picture, part of the corpus is seen with the gastroscope coming down, and to the right part of the antrum is seen, with the angulus in the middle of the picture.

It is important to examine the angular region of the stomach during gastroscopy, as this is a place where gastric ulcers typically are located.
